Cypresses form the ideal windbreak
around a lambing paddock or shelter for newly shorn sheep.
The disadvantage of cypresses over natives is that in the case of
fire, cypresses will be destroyed, whereas natives will regenerate.
Also natives will attract the native birds.
Best tree planting times vary according to location and the
moisture content in the soil.
All cypresses are extremely frost
hardy and not subject to insect attack.
